EvanBelizeProductions presents the award winning American-Belizean painter Kajahl Benes-- one of the hottest artist on the scene today-- on his way to further his studies in Italy. Click on the myspace link to the right to see a slide show of his work.



Kajahl Benes bio:

Kajahl Benes hails from the vibrant coastal city of Santa Cruz, Ca. Born May 5, 1985, this artist on the rise has shown a passion for the arts at early age expressing an interest in figurative work. At the age of 9 he has entered his work in various local art shows and competitions gaining a reputation as an artist. His foundation in the arts became firmly planted during his high school years where he experimented with various mediums and artistic concepts. After graduating from Santa Cruz High in 2003, Kajahl decided to attend San Francisco State University and major in fine arts while also joining the men's Basketball team. Thus far he has entered and won several scholarships and competitions including first prize in SFSU's annual Stillwell exhibition. As his love and dedication for painting increased, he came to the realization that he could no longer balance a career in the arts and a career on the hardwood. Entering his senior year at SFSU Kajahl has made the decision to hang up the sneakers and take his true love to Florecnce, Italy and study at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze, where after a year's work will obtain his BA in fine arts.
